Dr. Parimala holds a PhD degree in public health. She possesses skills in systematic review & meta-analysis, research writing, and data analysis using software such as SPSS and R. Her research interests lie in child health issues, health financing for vulnerable populations, and non-communicable diseases and their co-morbidities. Parimala is described as academically inclined with a research-oriented mindset and a keen interest in healthcare. She holds a degree in BHMS and MPH. She has a four years of work experience in the health field, particularly in NRHM (National Rural Health Mission). She is also a life member of the International Epidemiological Association. She was awarded a cash prize and invited to a special reading and recognition session in New York for their essay on global reflection at the Consortium of Universities for Global Health (CUGH) Conference. She has published in various reputed national and international journals.
